Social Dinner at FGL Store

There are few socially acceptable ways to talk to strangers.
Our dinners bring potential new friends together, unexpected conversations with unknown people.

Here in Sweden, everyone needs to step out of their comfort zone a bit more often, I feel.
FGL organised a social dinner at our store last night and it was such a treat.

From start to finish our day was rather busy. Kristin finished our slide show just in time whilst I was tasting the stew at 17.59 just in time before guests arrived.
WE THOUGHT!

18.10 – still no show. At this point we started to feel we may of organised it for the wrong day?!
After checking the invitations, luckily it said 18.30! Relief!

Panic over, we had 20 minutes to spare. Instagram stories and final check on the food.

11 girls gave us their honour this evening. Many drove for hours to join. We’re so grateful.
The evening started with a toast and sharing our story of how it all started.
Rewind to 2012. Was a bit emotional talking about it all, what a journey we’ve been on from the beginning up until today. Seeing old photos and sharing it with many filled our hearts.

At the table we all introduced ourselves. Followed by the nights topic; Courage.
Listening to each and everyone was beautiful. We all agreed that sitting around a table sharing our life stories is not at all scary.
In-fact the opposite – It’s amazing. I hope we organise another dinner soon.
This quote made me think earlier, thought it was very beautiful….

”We want to make the world a friendlier place, and we believe we can, because all friends were once strangers”

Right now I’m getting ready for Varbergs galan, along with the other 699 other people who are attending I guess.
Tonight I’ll borrow Kristins green dress – luckily it is ‘awrap’ because mama has grown a lot lately.

FGL Store has been nominated for an environmental prize – sat, wondering, can Kristin and I win this? FGL Store and two other companies…

Wish us luck!

FGL Lecture day

8th of October.
A day full with creative ladies, power and knowledge.

For quite some time, we’ve been talking about how there is a ‘hole in the industry’ when it comes to an inspirational day or more like an educational day for influencers.

Often we meet for different occasions, usually dinners, promotion of products and so on and so on.
Many times there are the same questions coming up, but there’s never enough time to go through them all.

So the 8th of October;
-Educational day for influencers happened at FGL Store.

Kristin & I put together few topics that we wanted to bring up.
Our dear friend was moderating the whole day, cannot thank her enough for her brilliant expertise.
Our day started with Emma sharing her knowledge on Disc analysis. A theory that comes from William Moulton Marston back in the 1930’s. Emma is, by the way, so great at speaking in public – such an entertainer. You can book her at Finnvedens säljkraft.

Everyone has different behaviour styles. Knowing and understanding peoples different behaviour styles creates a more corporate climate. It also provides a greater self-awareness  and communication easier.
Using this knowledge is good for anyone, both private and in work.

Before we sat down we’ve chosen 3 cards each – 2 cards that described you well and 1 that didn’t.
Next up was: Diana Dontsova – Diadonna.

Winner of the big food blog award price 2017. She always amazes me with her beautiful pictures and mind blowing recipes. She is very spot on and has seemingly endless knowledge when it comes to her business and how to build up your brand in social media. Diana is also a blogger at Feminina.

HannaHanna Wendelbo.

This inspiring multi talented woman creates patterns like no one else.
Always sharing flower bouquets in her feed and Hanna designs the most beautiful wall papers.
Her multi talent inspires many, she’s one of a kind!  When she was 7 years she dreamt of becoming a clothing designer – few years later her dream came true, she’s now created the pattern for the new brand Soie Belle.

Two very inspiring woman with a lot of compentense in this industry -Thanks for making our day extra special.

The schedule was busy from start till finish.
Never ending conversation throughout the night – We could kept going till the morning I think.

We agreed that this event has to happen soon again it was truly a success.
Keep your eyes out for new dates.

Thanks for joining in: Daniella Witte, Lisa Burenius, Jennie Blomkvist, Marina Evertsson, Anna Norrman,
Diana, Hanna, Marlene Agemo, Helena Lyth, EmmaMalin Persson .
So happy spending time with you all. A very grateful heart.
