Kristin and I met up one evening to shoot Scorett’s summer collection alongside FGL’s collection.
You could still feel the warmth from the last rays of sun, it couldn’t of been more perfect.
We started off at the beach.
The lilac’s were in full bloom. Matched the colours of the shoes I was wearing.
Scorett started in 1989, located in Varberg as well.
Such a great pleasure to work with such an established company as them and have the opportunity to collaborate side by side is so much fun.
We wanted talk more about our project Sisterhood. The more people that hear about it, the more people we can help. During ‘Sisterhoods’ first week the project got eight new volunteers to the Women’s Journal in Varberg! Through the power of social media, it’s incredible how many souls you reach out to.
FGL want to share with you what we believe the right to freedom is for all women. It is to not be afraid of being physically and mentally abused or raped in your own home.
Everyone is entitled to feel free – without fear. Everywhere – but above all in your own home.
This is a human right and shouldn’t need to be highlighted. Therefore, FGL Store have created a collection to draw attention to this taboo subject.
Above all, we want to use our way of reaching out to people, to highlight this problem in our society. To share knowledge, encourage civil engagement and commitment. FGL Store will be donating a percentage of the profit to the Women’s Journal, who help women and their children in need.
My favourite thing about Scorett is how they put so much work behind their products, they make conscious choices for everything they do.
”We strive for sustainable development, which protects people and the environment. Our sustainability efforts are coordinated from the headquarters in Varberg. We attach great importance to educating our staff in sustainability issues. In this way, we create commitment and build knowledge to work consciously with sustainability. We are already thinking about the beginning of our design and product development to reduce our impact on nature and human beings”
”The Scorett Group works with Human Bridge, which means that we collect and donate any shoes that can not be sold. Human Bridge is a material assistance organization that works for people and the environment. The professional organization has operations in approximately 25 countries (mainly Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East). Our contribution is donated directly to aid efforts or generates revenue for various aid projects. We are also launching a project for collecting customers’ used footwear in store, to expand reuse and reduce the waste of shoes. We see the project as a matter of course in our sustainability work because it extends the product life cycle while helping the needy”
We share the same love for our city. It’s truly beautiful during this time of year.
The project Sisterhood started because Kristin and I wanted to make a change. Small things can be a huge difference for someone out there.
Everyone needs to speak up more about things that are not right.
Working with Scorett was an obvious choice from the beginning. I love their whole collection .
Their work to support so many people makes my heart so happy and proud.
When you share the same ethicals it’s not hard. Believe in making a difference.
From this day and onwards you will see our collaboration in Scoretts channels -from posters to videos.
Bye for now, M
