welcome out little baby

Week 40.
I’m more than ready. I think.

Full of excitement and joy. It’s still a bit unreal in a way.
As if we’re we’re getting a baby any day.
Such a blessing.

The other day I got my new camera. A Canon 6D.
So I experimented with taking some pictures.
Thought it would be a nice memory to have some of the bump fully grown.

I hope Jake are willing to teach me some tricks with the camera, cause I learn ‘by doing’ not reading things. The most boring thing.
I think there will be some tips on youtube as well, best channel to find out about stuff.

40 weeks – 99.3% in..
Let me share the latest regarding my pregnancy.

Sleeping is very uncomfortable, stomach gets pretty hard if I stay to long on one side, so a lot of turning throughout the night. With ten pillows all over the place, supporting my back, stomach, knees. Waking up almost every night at 3am – sometimes already at 2am.

Trying to eat extra iron, broccoli, lentils, beens –
& when I remember I take a tablet just in case.

Thinking a lot about breath work, getting so many tips regarding just that. With the right technique pain will be less and I will get a smoother experience. Many has said to go through the contraction without fighting against the pain, to focus hard and say good bye to each one on cause it’s one step closer a baby..
( will tell you all about how it went after my experience )

I’m overwhelmed by all the lovin you guys give me through messages on IG, FB. My heart is full.
I feel I have a big ‘mama community’ on social media.
Many of my closest friends live far away and Jakes family are in England, so your support means a lot.

I’ve been lucky being able to work till now, my days pass by so quickly. My pregnancy has been very good. No cravings, no feeling sick, in the beginning I was a bit more hungry, got pretty HANGRY if I ddn’t eat in time.
My hormones might been a bit upset with a Jake sometimes, sorry love!
It wasn’t me speaking if I was a bit cattish.

Gonna see my midwife today, must be the last visit? I said that the last time, I might not see you again, hopefully I have a baby by the 10th of December. Not baby yet.
Jake has put his bets on today. I had 4th of december.

I think I gained closer to 15kg in total. I was under 10kg for agees.. but the last weeks baby grown a bit more.

Thanks for reading,
if you wanna heart it, I would be so happy.

NEWS

hi team,

Wanted to update you with the latest.

Bump is now 97.1% baked. Time flies and soon he’s here! Our little mini.

Visited the hospital yesterday and we can’t be more ready now I think.

Work wise I’m not on the schedule in December at FGL Store.
Unless two meetings this week, otherwise I’m working from home. Thank god for technology. My job is basically 95% on a computer.

Kristin and Frida will be at FGL Store till we close for the season.
22nd of December is our last day to keep open.

Since start of the summer I’ve done many shifts so it was a good timing having some time off since my due date is 12th of December.

Kristin & I share FGL 50/50 . Sometimes I can cover more when she’s having a busy period or it’s the reverse. But in the end it’s always simular.
We are so lucky that we can help each other out in that way, makes work so much easier and gives us both much more freedom!

Let me tell you about this coming weekend.
We have Marlene @Fruvintage & Marie @axkonstochkeramik as pop up’s at FGL store this Saturday.

Marie’s cups – Remember when we had them in our shop? They were so popular.

I love Marlenes coffee cause some of the profit support Läkarmissionen. Not only is it great coffee you also support people in need.

Our dear friends Jennie, Lisa & Frida Eklund will be in the store next door as a sneak peak on their coming studio. OPENING IN JANUARY 2019. CLART STUDIO.
FGL will get new neigbours. So exciting.

If you havn’t visited FGL already, this weekend will be a good one to come by.

We had a meeting yesterday planing spring events, gosh I’m excited.
Lots of workshops coming along nicely.
”Utvecklingsdag”, Breakfast lectures & much more.
To inspire and get inspired by and with other people is my favourite right now.

In two days another exciting meeting is booked, which I think could be a fun project the next couple of months. Fingers crossed for that collaboration!

Robe + pant set.
Perfect combo to wear all day. Printed by hand, such fine art work.
Each piece is truly unique, due to it’s all done by hand.

There’s also a Pyjama set available, not many pieces left though I guess they been on many wish lists till christmas.

I get a lot of questions about what I’m wearing as pregnant. To be honest I basically have my everyday clothes.
This peony set is I’m wearing in the picture above I had to go M/L, being 9 month pregant it would of been hard to fit a size small by now.

Wish you a good week, who knows next update might be about a newborn baby.
Fingers crossed.

all my love,

m

week 34

”baby is preparing it’s way down. getting ready for delivery”

Yes, that’s what I got in my email this morning. The update for enter every new week.
We’re now in week 34.

I can agree to baby is preparing him self, I feel more pain in my lower parts.
I get sore when laying to long on one side. So sleeping isn’t the comfiest. But it’s ok.
Our pillows are my best friends and sorry Jake for giving them more love than you right now.

Putting socks on – very tricky right now. When doing yoga my belly touches my thighs too, funny feeling. Getting up if been on my knees isn’t the easiest either.

We went to our first parental group last Monday. It’s interesting to listen and take in some stuff, but I’m not sure if we will attend to the next two meetings. Think it’s better if we read up on the stuff at home, since the class was only in Swedish.

The book ‘föda utan rädsla’ seems pretty good to, read 1/3 of it so far.
For me the breath work is the most important to practise. With the right mindset and a lot of breathing I think your body will respond to that. Peace calm and comfort
– You can try while reading this, how deep breathing totally changes your whole body .

It will be painful as hell – no matter what. The only thing I could do  is the practise and focus to get a stronger mindset. I can do this and I’m excited. See you soon baby.

Choosing a pram, and things to buy stress me out more to be honest.
haha!

growing big

The bump happend over night, basically.
Welcome week 29 + 1 day today.

Wonder if I gained close to 10kg now? It says baby is around 1,3kg and 32 cm long now.

Every night I wake up just after 3am. Zero chance to go back to sleep until 6am.. if I’m lucky I get another hour sleep or my day starts then.

Last weekend we went to a friends wedding in France. Long days, lots of people. I got absolute exhausted by all the impressions, people, and being out and about. But tried my best to join in as much I could.
But on the Sunday I couldn’t do anything more then to rest. I stayed in bed all day.
Monday felt like a big hang over. I think I felt more tired due to the 35 degrees and a growing bump; A lot of pain in my ribs. Little bit better now.

Oh ! and  this morning I had my first dream about giving birth. Apparently I woke up and I felt that my water broke, me and Jake went to the hospital and the lady came out with the biggest of syringe saying:

-Spread your legs so I can give you this.
-Oh no I said and walk away. No chance you will do that. ( hate syringes ) so I decided to walk in the forrest till our baby came out.

Luckily that was a dream, cause there is no chance of syringes down in you know what?? I’ll die if soooo…

Happy Friday! I’m off work this weekend. It’s my birthday tomorrow!

by the way, Kristin shared her birth story yesterday so visit her. Like a little saga.

love m

Prego mama

These last months have passed by so quickly. Already in week 27, soon 28.
I’m getting ‘bigger’ each week that passes and in total I have gained 7kg.

Yesterday Jake and I visited the midwife and she measured my stomache,
then listened to the baby’s heart beats,  bless our little stinky it’s growing big.
Such a magical journey this.

Walking around with a ball of a stomach, crazy curiosity, sometimes  wonder how it’s even possible? but more than anything, an overwhelming excitement to meet this glorious little person you’re about to cherish for the rest of our lives. It’s a wild thought to think we all start from the same place

Feeling stronger than ever and I’m so excited for all there is to come.
Feels like our whole autumn is booked for different appointments, breast feeding courses, mama groups, blood tests and measuring this stomache!

Yesterday my stomache measured 25cm for my pelvic bone to the top of the bump?
Blood results was perfect, weight good… All good. Happy mama! I stopped drinking coffee as it gives me too much pain . No cravings from what I know.

There have been some of you who asked what clothes I prefer to wear now when I’m pregnant.
Here’s few tips from my shop, comfy is always nice.

LA Shirt comes in blue & black. One size.
So comfy, nice with jeans, leggings, boots whatever. A knitted sweater on top can be cozy.

10pm dress – comes in different colours. One size.

Varberg Duster & Pant. Perfect set.
Duster is one size and pants come in the sizes s/m & m/l.

This update is a payed update with FGL Store
