Heaps of news

Hi,

Wanted to share my monday with an update.
Kristin and I have decided to meet up every Monday morning  to go through all that is needed for the week. It could be about sales, what we need to high light, new orders, events, stock etc etc.

This Monday was all about the sea. Our old favourite spot.
The nude place in our home town. ‘ Damernas ‘

We had lunch with a fantastic view. Off course coffee and a bun was included.

I’m dressed in an old favourite 10 pm in the colour teal.
We have had these dresses for few years now, but always a variation of  different colours.

What I think could be a new favourite is this knitted sweater.

Kristin really wanted a swim so she went in. I don’t know if she knows but after a dip her eyes becomes even bluer.

I was there with the camera, going through the photos afterwards was really funny. We were laughing till we cried! too nude on some to share.

This afternoon we snapped 270 photos, 12 dresses, striped pants, knitted sweater and this LA shirt with polka dots! A popular piece.

The majority of our collection is one size. We try to meet all sizes, but it’s hard as a small buisness. The stock you need to keep when you have  XS to XL is massive. Meaning a lot of money. Also a bigger range of many sizes is a risk.

We’re growing – many new costumers each day – which we’re forever grateful for. Working with ‘slow fashion’ and a more sustainable wardrobe makes me so proud.

On our way home from the sea I said, who made us rose hip soup last year?
It was so yummy. Malin I need your recipe please.

We will make that tomorrow at FGL store. You won’t miss out.
Probably will be seen in 3 channels, FGL store, mine & Kristins.

xx

FESTIVAL DAY 2

A guy said to Kristin; I love what you two do, I love your store! Keep up the hard work!

Like how amazing is that when a person comes and say hello and give you feedback on your work. THANKS A MILLION!

This was day nr 2 for me at Way out west and I was pretty excited cause our Thursday was so much fun. By my side I had Kristin, we left soon after work. Closed our store at 1pm so we could make it in time.
First stop Max for a vegan meny – I had a collaboration with them this festival so that was our first todo.

Next up. Scorett Official. Krisin wearing one of their sneakers in the picture above. So cool.

Marcus Krunegård we danced to in the rain.

And we were lucky to find our Juice Malin by all these 30.000 people. We laughed, sang, danced and ate Churros together.

Little Jinder killed it on stage. What a star. Recently I havn’t listened to any swedish music to be honest, but seeing her perform live , made me think why? She’s now on my playlist.

LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

I felt like an egyptian queen there for a while, my scarf become my head piece and it stayed there for the rest of the day.

Thank you GBG! so much fun.
Festivals are truly medicin to your soul. Laughter with friends too.

oh! our last show LYKKE LI.

No festival without rain and thunder. Lykke you will always be my nr1 girl.

My friends I had a golden weekend, a golden weekend.

xx

100 hands at FGL

This is my job. FGL Store. Let me tell you a bit about the process.

How amazing to work with so many talented souls. I’m beyond grateful that these people come into our lives over 3 years ago.

I was browsing around on Instagram, seeing a post I thought was rather beautiful. Wrote a little email asking about a collaboration was possible, told some about our FGL store and how we work.

Few emails later, We received our first garments.
Years later we now workes daily together to get a stunning collection.

Dafu Devi. The mom of printing. She’s been printing for 45 years. Talk about dedication, and perfection.

The print you see on my shirt is exaclty the same as you see on the table, the print is made of clay.

Each family have their own reciepe.

After it’s been dried, the garments next step is colouring. We use mostly indigo flower since our shop is almost 90% blue products ..

Indigo flower, a powerful blue natural colour.

About 100 hands creating our products.
What they breathe, touch and absorb during our production matters . Sustainable fashion is not only about ethical wages and the environment ~ it’s about individual health.
From farmers cutters sewers ~ using natural dyes and working in a traditional way makes a huge difference to many.
Even for you ~ the buyer.
Thanks for choosing FGL clothing.

Busy days

This week has gone by so quickly. Can’t say we have enjoyed the sunshine much, or any midnight swims due to the final fix on our house.

Sorry green house cause you look like shiet this year, but havn’t had enough time to look after you much, but that’s ok. You can’t do everything at once.

Love renting our house out during the summer cause we get things done. The things you know about- but don’t do until you get a kick in your ass. House is soon in perfection for the families that will rent it.

Other than that it’s high season at FGL Store . It’s a lot of emails/whatsapp call to India regarding the new sampling. Got an update just now regarding winter samples, exciting.

Black Frill skirt. New in.

Blooming blue dress -just released. Kristin on Venice Beach in February, 6 months ago already.

This Wednesday was a sales record and it’s never been that busy before ! So happy and grateful.
Yesterday I worked on my collaboration with Boråstapeter. I have one more room that has been transformed. I will share that during this weekend. Thanks for all the loving I got from our bedroom in bloom. THANK YOU ALL!

About this morning, I cleaned out all closets, cleaned our windows. Prepped the car full with things for the tip, not so exciting but it’s needed. Now I’m updating my blog and checking the email.

Everything will soon be ready. Still got a few hours to go before heading into the city to work with Kristin at FGL Store.

Enjoy your weekend peeps,

xx

FGL NEWS

Our FGL Store.

In may I was away for 2 weeks for a holiday. Me and Kristin basically met in the door and it was her turn to see Europe. Their holiday seemed to be so nice, many countries in a few weeks. How sweet ! Exploring new places are truly the best!

The good thing with FGL is that we can be apart from each other and still have a on going buisness. Whatsapp is rather amazing. Gives us a lot of freedom.

Daily talks to India is also something I do, without whatsapp, email, instagram  I don’t really know if we could of be this ”free”.

Me in our Dandelion skirt.

I Spent the morning at FGL today together with Klara, a girl who studies in Italy usually. This spring she sent us an email regarding an intership at FGL Store.

Off course I replied, but just know it involves everything from packing orders, clean the shop, take photos, water the plants etc etc.

She said yes and now she’s at FGL the whole of July.

This is a payed collaboration between me and FGL Store.

Today was a bit of everything, Klara took some photos of me, Thank you very much! It’s our newest member Frill dress– Only in limited edition though, so be quick!  xx

See you tomorrow again, I will show you my latest job! Exciting..
