Prego mama

These last months have passed by so quickly. Already in week 27, soon 28.
I’m getting ‘bigger’ each week that passes and in total I have gained 7kg.

Yesterday Jake and I visited the midwife and she measured my stomache,
then listened to the baby’s heart beats,  bless our little stinky it’s growing big.
Such a magical journey this.

Walking around with a ball of a stomach, crazy curiosity, sometimes  wonder how it’s even possible? but more than anything, an overwhelming excitement to meet this glorious little person you’re about to cherish for the rest of our lives. It’s a wild thought to think we all start from the same place

Feeling stronger than ever and I’m so excited for all there is to come.
Feels like our whole autumn is booked for different appointments, breast feeding courses, mama groups, blood tests and measuring this stomache!

Yesterday my stomache measured 25cm for my pelvic bone to the top of the bump?
Blood results was perfect, weight good… All good. Happy mama! I stopped drinking coffee as it gives me too much pain . No cravings from what I know.

There have been some of you who asked what clothes I prefer to wear now when I’m pregnant.
Here’s few tips from my shop, comfy is always nice.

LA Shirt comes in blue & black. One size.
So comfy, nice with jeans, leggings, boots whatever. A knitted sweater on top can be cozy.

10pm dress – comes in different colours. One size.

Varberg Duster & Pant. Perfect set.
Duster is one size and pants come in the sizes s/m & m/l.

The Norrmans part 2

We sat the alarm for 6.30am to check the sun rise. But unfortuantly, it was too many clouds this monday morning. Warm thou.

Every inch of this place is just stunning.

After a long breakfast we made our clothes ready – even brought our steamer.
Could you believe how orangized we become? the only thing that happend was that I brought the wrong sample of a shirt.  Noticed that after 50+ photos. Nevermind.
…and my hair had the biggest knot (trassel ever)  my daily struggle or look I guess.
Wonder if we one day will have a stylist with us?

These adorable highland cattles gave us a stare when stopping the car, we took the wrong turn.
Worth it thou, I would never pass such beauties without giving them some loving.

We said to photo some old favourites and some new samples, we did pretty good.
Little did I know that this place, Stevns Klint is in the Unescos list of world heritage sites in Denmark .

The cliff reveals sections from 66 million years back in time. Once upon a time it got hit by the asteroid who whiped out 3/4 of our planets animals and plants.

This set will be released Friday this week. Excited much!

LA- Shirt is popular by many.

Maroon polka dress – good choice this fall. Wear it with a knitted sweater when days are colder, always fun to use leggings in the same colour too.

We have been laughing a lot these day, because of happiness but also of being tired.
It’s just after a super busy period with FGL. Our summer has surely been great, far better than we could ask for, so it’s not strange we feel a bit run down. But also excited at the same time. These two days in Denmark has been great.

The Norrmans is such a amazing place. Full with love, inspiration,  tons of dedication and soul is put into every detail. I love creative people who live their dreams. DOERS!

We just had a sneak peak on their next project. The renovation will start this winter for a lounge area and a boutique upstairs.

This is my new found friend, the whippet Helium, she’s lush!  always on the hunt for food .

Having a dog among guests are the best. Many places in England have that – makes it all extra special.
If you’re looking for a cozy getaway this winter, you should definetly book yourself in.

Read more about Anna & Lars right here.

Thank you so much for everything,

mirs,

few days away..

hi,

We left at lunch today, Kristin and I .
Whilst Kristin were driving I made our  todo-list ready.
First  coffee stop: Solhaga Stenugnsbageri.

A getaway Sunday till Tuesday. A conference in Denmark to the Norrmans.
Owned by just The norrmans, Anna & Lars. You might have seen this place in Husdrömmar, SVT . Or even been here yourself already. They have been fully booked all summer long.

Anna just made sure the bath was warm enough – we just spent 40 min in there.
Such an amazing way to get relaxed.

Today has been all about slowing down. Pretty exhausted from a hectic summer to be honest.

These two days we’ll sum up this year and our coming year.
What has been good, what can we do better. How is our future looking ?
High and lows.

With stunning locations like this we’ll snap a few photos for coming collection and on old favourites.

I’m pretty sure we will get enough inspiration from here. Such an amazing place.

Lars was experimenting with a pizza dough tonight and we were lucky enough to get a bite,
SO nice!

I can’t really understand we’re in Denmark . It feels more like Italy.

This was our view whilst having our bath, mesmerizing right?

This was just a tiny update, more to come. Off to bed now due to an early start tomorrow.

Heaps of news

Hi,

Wanted to share my monday with an update.
Kristin and I have decided to meet up every Monday morning  to go through all that is needed for the week. It could be about sales, what we need to high light, new orders, events, stock etc etc.

This Monday was all about the sea. Our old favourite spot.
The nude place in our home town. ‘ Damernas ‘

We had lunch with a fantastic view. Off course coffee and a bun was included.

I’m dressed in an old favourite 10 pm in the colour teal.
We have had these dresses for few years now, but always a variation of  different colours.

What I think could be a new favourite is this knitted sweater.

Kristin really wanted a swim so she went in. I don’t know if she knows but after a dip her eyes becomes even bluer.

I was there with the camera, going through the photos afterwards was really funny. We were laughing till we cried! too nude on some to share.

This afternoon we snapped 270 photos, 12 dresses, striped pants, knitted sweater and this LA shirt with polka dots! A popular piece.

The majority of our collection is one size. We try to meet all sizes, but it’s hard as a small buisness. The stock you need to keep when you have  XS to XL is massive. Meaning a lot of money. Also a bigger range of many sizes is a risk.

We’re growing – many new costumers each day – which we’re forever grateful for. Working with ‘slow fashion’ and a more sustainable wardrobe makes me so proud.

On our way home from the sea I said, who made us rose hip soup last year?
It was so yummy. Malin I need your recipe please.

We will make that tomorrow at FGL store. You won’t miss out.
Probably will be seen in 3 channels, FGL store, mine & Kristins.

xx

This update is a payed collaboration with my own buisness. FGL Store.

100 hands at FGL

This is my job. FGL Store. Let me tell you a bit about the process.

How amazing to work with so many talented souls. I’m beyond grateful that these people come into our lives over 3 years ago.

I was browsing around on Instagram, seeing a post I thought was rather beautiful. Wrote a little email asking about a collaboration was possible, told some about our FGL store and how we work.

Few emails later, We received our first garments.
Years later we now workes daily together to get a stunning collection.

Dafu Devi. The mom of printing. She’s been printing for 45 years. Talk about dedication, and perfection.

The print you see on my shirt is exaclty the same as you see on the table, the print is made of clay.

Each family have their own reciepe.

After it’s been dried, the garments next step is colouring. We use mostly indigo flower since our shop is almost 90% blue products ..

Indigo flower, a powerful blue natural colour.

About 100 hands creating our products.
What they breathe, touch and absorb during our production matters . Sustainable fashion is not only about ethical wages and the environment ~ it’s about individual health.
From farmers cutters sewers ~ using natural dyes and working in a traditional way makes a huge difference to many.
Even for you ~ the buyer.
Thanks for choosing FGL clothing.

This is a payed update with my own buisness FGL Store.

FGL + Scorett

A while ago FGL teamed up with Scorett Official. We’re collaborating together in time for this beautiful summer. I can’t tell you how excited I am for this.

Kristin and I met up one evening to shoot Scorett’s summer collection alongside FGL’s  collection.

You could still feel the warmth from the last rays of sun, it couldn’t of been more perfect.
We started off at the beach.

The lilac’s were in full bloom. Matched the colours of the shoes I was wearing.

Scorett started in 1989, located in Varberg as well.

Such a great pleasure to work with such an established company as them and have the opportunity to collaborate side by side is so much fun.

We wanted talk more about our project Sisterhood. The more people that hear about it, the more people we can help. During ‘Sisterhoods’ first week the project got eight new volunteers to the Women’s Journal in Varberg! Through the power of social media, it’s incredible how many souls you reach out to.

FGL want to share with you what we believe the right to freedom is for all women. It is to not be afraid of being physically and mentally abused or raped in your own home.

Everyone is entitled to feel free – without fear. Everywhere – but above all in your own home.

This is a human right and shouldn’t need to be highlighted. Therefore, FGL Store have created a collection to draw attention to this taboo subject.

Above all, we want to use our way of reaching out to people, to highlight this problem in our society. To share knowledge, encourage civil engagement and commitment. FGL Store will be donating a percentage of the profit to the Women’s Journal, who help women and their children in need.

My favourite thing about Scorett is how they put so much work behind their products, they make conscious choices for everything they do.

”We strive for sustainable development, which protects people and the environment. Our sustainability efforts are coordinated from the headquarters in Varberg. We attach great importance to educating our staff in sustainability issues. In this way, we create commitment and build knowledge to work consciously with sustainability. We are already thinking about the beginning of our design and product development to reduce our impact on nature and human beings”

”The Scorett Group works with Human Bridge, which means that we collect and donate any shoes that can not be sold. Human Bridge is a material assistance organization that works for people and the environment. The professional organization has operations in approximately 25 countries (mainly Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East). Our contribution is donated directly to aid efforts or generates revenue for various aid projects. We are also launching a project for collecting customers’ used footwear in store, to expand reuse and reduce the waste of shoes. We see the project as a matter of course in our sustainability work because it extends the product life cycle while helping the needy”

We share the same love for our city. It’s truly beautiful during this time of year.

The project Sisterhood started because Kristin and I wanted to make a change. Small things can be a huge difference for someone out there.
Everyone needs to speak up more about things that are not right.

Working with Scorett was an obvious choice from the beginning. I love their whole collection .

Their work to support so many people makes my heart so happy and proud.
When you share the same ethicals it’s not hard. Believe in making a difference.

From this day and onwards you will see our collaboration in Scoretts channels -from posters to videos.

Together we hope to make a change – for a little more information read more on their website.  Lastly, support the Sisterhood collection, you’ll find the T-shirts here.

Bye for now, M

This update is collaboration between Mirandarebecca & Scorett Officials

FGL STORIES

Hello and good morning!

Talk about boiling hot days in Sweden right now. +25 and more I’d say. Everyone walks around with big smiles. Such a change. Some sunshine is what we all needed.

What I wanted to share today was little bit regarding our website FGL Store. Have you visited before? If no, you should.

It’s a little more than just a shop accually. We share our FGL happenings under Stories.  You can read updates with recipes or see ‘behind the scenes’ pictures while shooting new products to mention few..

The latest update were about our events we had these past months.
Next one up is Workshop with Lisa Burenius.  This will be the last event before summer comes.  It has been very popular and it’s only few spots left. If you would like to join in make sure to book a ticket here. Come alone or bring a friend.

Looking forward to the 19th of May. Hope to see you there.

The start of a new week

A new week started and my day has been rather productive. Full with fun things!
Me & Kristin started with a phone meeting with a potential partner. Very exciting.

We recieved new dresses in four new colours.

Right now you can help to pick a name for the new design – Right here!
If you leave a suggestion you have the chance to win a dress, well worth it!
Do it before tomorrow night.

I think this Monday has been the hottest in Sweden this year, +22 degress. Wowza!
The whole week is looking mighty fine for a lot of sunshine. I like!

Tuesday: Will be spent in Bua. I’m gonna prepare few updates here on the blog. Shooting some pictures for collaborations I’m doing this month. That’s really one of the best things with being your own – When you can use your home as your office.

Wednesday: I’m working in FGL Store 16-18 o’clock. After closing time me and Kristin will have a sunset shoot – Lots of products coming in every week now so we better be productive, especially when weather is like this!

Thursday: Fingers crossed that our boat is ready for it’s first adventure! It’s public holiday so we thought we could spend the day out on the sea.

Friday: Not sure yet how my day will look like. Depends on how productive I am in the start of the week.

Saturday: Working at FGL Store. Yay!

Sunday: All day off.

I will end this day with a power walk and tea in my green house.

Good luck with pick a name for the dress! Looking forward to see your suggestions..

A day with Kristin

Thursday is here already.
FGL & Kristin it said in my calender.

Kristin and I had a long todo list, when the day had come to it’s end, I can safely say it went bloody well.
No surprise that we started with the most creative projects, fun to both agree on that so fast too. Although it’s good to  prioritise the boring ‘important’ stuff first,  not today! 😉

Nr1: A shoot by the sea.
Pretty cold and stormy but the pictures turned out, sweeeell! It was the perfect weather for us coastal girls

Excited to announce 3 new products, being released today, in FGL Store.

The list was long and I was surprised we nailed it all, plus many more ideas were flowing.
Happy and proud to be part of such a great POWER team!

More news… FGL Store is set to host another another great workshop with Lisa Burenius, it has been so popular these past two times and super pumped for our 3rd one! Saturday 19th of May 15-18 o’clock. More info here.
It’s limited spots and they sell fast.

Lisa is super talented and such an amazing woman. You will get plenty of inspiration spending your afternoon with her. Hope to see you then.“Släpp taget så blåser vi på!

-Jag ska försöka lära dig så mycket det går om mitt sätt att arbeta. ”LIKA DELAR KAOS OCH ORDNING” /Lisa
