FESTIVAL DAY 2

A guy said to Kristin; I love what you two do, I love your store! Keep up the hard work!

Like how amazing is that when a person comes and say hello and give you feedback on your work. THANKS A MILLION!

This was day nr 2 for me at Way out west and I was pretty excited cause our Thursday was so much fun. By my side I had Kristin, we left soon after work. Closed our store at 1pm so we could make it in time.
First stop Max for a vegan meny – I had a collaboration with them this festival so that was our first todo.

Next up. Scorett Official. Krisin wearing one of their sneakers in the picture above. So cool.

Marcus Krunegård we danced to in the rain.

And we were lucky to find our Juice Malin by all these 30.000 people. We laughed, sang, danced and ate Churros together.

Little Jinder killed it on stage. What a star. Recently I havn’t listened to any swedish music to be honest, but seeing her perform live , made me think why? She’s now on my playlist.

LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

I felt like an egyptian queen there for a while, my scarf become my head piece and it stayed there for the rest of the day.

Thank you GBG! so much fun.
Festivals are truly medicin to your soul. Laughter with friends too.

oh! our last show LYKKE LI.

No festival without rain and thunder. Lykke you will always be my nr1 girl.

My friends I had a golden weekend, a golden weekend.

WOW & GBG

hi,

our Thursday was one of a kind. Jacob and I went to Way Out West Festival in Gothenburg. So lucky to have the last room available at Hotel Eggers, a personal favourite of mine.
Back in the day I used to work for the hotels owners, all be it in their other hotel in Varberg.

Can’t remember the last time I had this many photos to share in one post before, but this is needed.

UNBELIEVABLY hot. Sun shining all day.

Wearing my most shiny sneakers from K.cobler  Scorett. Serious love!

Power banks must be the best thing for days like these, my battery is absolutely terrible. Check out Holdits selection here.

Artic Monkey fans were rather early, patiently waiting for 6 hours or more.

Soaked up the festival vibes by Briska’s air streamer. Cold non alcoholic drinks – pregnant and 35 degrees –  yes please.

Jake’s flip flop fell apart, not the best footwear for ‘WOW’, but lucky for him Scorett were on hand and it happened to be the release day off Reebok’s new sneaker.
Totally saved him, thank you so so much!

Many of you have asked where my shirt is from. Found it in Haga few weeks ago and it’s from the brand Elvine.

Way Out West is a very conscious festival. All food served is vegetarian or vegan.
Focus : sustainability.

Hats off indeed, this years festival must of been one of the best I’ve experienced at WOW.

Patti Smith was amazing, she spread love like never before. Apparently we shared the same hotel. Thought that was pretty cool.

Jenny Lewis we listened to a bit…
Nils Frahm – never heard before but real unique sound, liked him a lot.
St Vincet was cool and loud.
When they were playing I snapped my photos for my collaboration with MAX hamburger. I was promoting their Vegan shakes. Love my job! I read up on their project about how to be more climate savvy, really impressed. Read this.

Patti Smith – I was taken by her talks, such a cool lady.

Later on Jake and John were going to watch Artic Monkeys so I went and watched a documentary about Whitney Houston. Later on the girls at Aussie corner made me two braids. Free hair do! Thank you.

This bed was probably the best ever. Super tired legs for sure.

Room 127 had a balcony facing the street.

Best spot whilst enjoying a breakfast.

Tired today . I guess it was the heat. Couldn’t blame it on the beers this year that’s for sure.

Hotel Eggers is so beautiful. Many wonderful details, fun every time you stay over since each room is different .

Enjoyed time for some coffee and cakes before checking out.

xx

This update contains collaboration with, Hotel eggers, Max hamburgare, Holditbrand.

100 hands at FGL

This is my job. FGL Store. Let me tell you a bit about the process.

How amazing to work with so many talented souls. I’m beyond grateful that these people come into our lives over 3 years ago.

I was browsing around on Instagram, seeing a post I thought was rather beautiful. Wrote a little email asking about a collaboration was possible, told some about our FGL store and how we work.

Few emails later, We received our first garments.
Years later we now workes daily together to get a stunning collection.

Dafu Devi. The mom of printing. She’s been printing for 45 years. Talk about dedication, and perfection.

The print you see on my shirt is exaclty the same as you see on the table, the print is made of clay.

Each family have their own reciepe.

After it’s been dried, the garments next step is colouring. We use mostly indigo flower since our shop is almost 90% blue products ..

Indigo flower, a powerful blue natural colour.

About 100 hands creating our products.
What they breathe, touch and absorb during our production matters . Sustainable fashion is not only about ethical wages and the environment ~ it’s about individual health.
From farmers cutters sewers ~ using natural dyes and working in a traditional way makes a huge difference to many.
Even for you ~ the buyer.
Thanks for choosing FGL clothing.

This is a payed update with my own buisness FGL Store.

Changes

Today Jake and I moved out from our house in Bua, to our summer house up the road. The last couple of days have been very busy. Cleaning out drawers, getting everything ready for our summer guests. In between all this we decided on giving our walk in closet an upgrade. A total make over from boring white, to chestnut blossom.

For a while now, I’ve been looking for a desk on ‘Blocket’ (Sweden’s equivalent to gumtree), I almost drove down to the south of Sweden to buy one vintage because it was getting rather tight with time.
But one morning before opening FGL Store, I quickly stopped by a second hand shop in Varberg.

There it was…
The perfect size, the perfect everything. Love finding treasures like this, vintage shopping is so much fun. That same morning we also found a sofa, a cabinet, a table. Everything gathered under 10 minutes the final missing pieces to get a fully furnished house.

The space is long and narrow. When building this room it was meant to be a closet. We don’t really need all that space right now so I thought I wanted to make an office for myself. So much paper work nowadays so couldn’t be more perfect.

Green is such a relaxing colour and it’s stands for positivity. Like I mentioned in my previous update about wall paper, my love for Boråstapeters collection ‘In Bloom’ is just spot on. Here you see Chestnut blossom . This particular design also comes in a blue base for those of you who prefer a darker choice. Both are absolutely stunning.

The mint green cabinet once belonged to my nan, she painted it mint green back in the 1950’s. The inside is covered with yellow and green stripe paper. So cool.

Few hats from different countries.
I always seem to forget my sun hat when travelling, so the collection has grown. Nice to decorate your wall with to.

Our house has now gone through 2.5 years of renovation, finally it’s come to an end. Yay!

I think celebration is in order.

This is a payed collaboration between me and Boråstapeter.
